Dialogue replacement has been a frequent work of ours for the past 10 years, and although TV productions are typical of our workload, we've recently branched out into features
We've had the pleasure of having the current world record holder and former Olympic, Commonwealth, European and World champion triple jump athlete Jonathan Edwards here at the studios to record voice over for an IOC production.
We've seen the evolution of recording for computer games and e-learning change dramatically over the past 15 years; from recording projects like the original Tomb Raider and the CD-ROM for the first lauch of the X-Type, to everything these days being packaged as an 'App'.
The BBC's latest drama, Frankie, starts tonight at 9pm BBC1 and we saw the cast here earlier in the year for their dialogue replacement including Dean Lennon Kelly.
The decorators have just finished leaving us with a brand spanking new makeover!
From complete TV Series to 5sec tag lines, and from corporate voice overs to political broadcasts, here at Trident we cover all styles and requirements of voice over recording.
Throughout the year we see many TV series and dramas come our way, among the most recent is Hat Trick's upcoming comedy drama for ITV; Great Night Out (working title)
The latest run of Wheeler Dealers kicks off tonight on the Discovery Channel, and for the 11th year running we have handled all of the audio post for the series.
With Olympic fever calming down around the capital and the Paralympics just round the corner, tonight sees the premiere of the BBC's emotional drama behind the birth of the Paralympic games
Each month we work with many celebrities who kindly give their signatures to our t-shirt, one that we will be raffling off in aid of our chosen charity later in the year; The RNLI.
Nick Love's latest film, The Sweeney, came to Trident to work on the actor's ADR. We saw Ben Drew (AKA Plan B), Damian Lewis and Ray Winstone through our door to record with our latest Pro Tools 10 rig. The film sees its release later this year.
BBC Four's new detective drama, Dirk Gently, staring Stephen Mangan, Darren Boyd and Helen Baxendale, starts this March 5th on BBC Four and the show's ADR was recorded here in our Studio 1 throughout January.
Skins returned to use our ADR recording services to finetune another great series which you can currently catch on E4, both on-air and online.
Peter and Stephen would like to wish you a Happy New Year and thank you for all your support over the past 12 months. We look forward to working with you again in 2012.
Anna Friel and cast came to us for ADR on the new ITV drama, Without You, airing over the next few weeks on ITV1 + HD.
Channel 4's long running hit series, Shameless, celebrated its landmark 100th episode by creating a special feature length episode to mark the ocassion. The cast's ADR was recorded here at Trident which also saw the return of Dean Lennox-Kelly as Kev.
Trident recently completed recording the series ADR on E4's new comedy show, Beaver Falls, the story of 3 British lads working their way through an American summer-camp. The cast came to Trident over a period of weeks to re-record all the lines and dialogue that needed replacing.
Just a note to let you know that the latest series of Wheeler Dealers kicks off tonight on Discovery + HD.
We're well into 2011 now and the variety of sessions we handle is always continuing; we do wonder where it will end and what we will be asked of next! It seems the old-fashioned days of straight VO recording are behind us; Remote sessions via Skype/Telephone/ISDN, ADR with Quicktime/Digibeta and/or remote link up...
The latest series of Skins kicks off tonight on E4; we've been busy recording the ADR for the show for the past few months and as ever are excited at being involved in one of TV's most orignal shows.
2011 is looking to be an exciting year for us; we're currently freeing more space to be available as a client area so anyone attending a session has somewhere to sit and chat with their clients, and all while drinking some of the worlds best coffee they've picked up from theFernadez & Wells Espresso Bar next door.
Looking back on 2010, it's been a tough year for everyone but has bought us some memorable sessions. We, as ever, have continued to evolve with better remote directing facilities such as dial-in over mobile, skype, iChat, Source Connect, all running sessions from around the world. We have also given our Studio1 booth a makeover with improved acoustics and it can now easily accomodate upto 10 actors. We look forward to what 2011 brings...
Another great month and another increase in satisfied new clients; whether a 1hr wild voice-over, spur-of-the-moment 60min program mix, or multivoice & multilingual recording, if you ever think we can be of service to you for whatever reason, please do get in touch either by email or call us direct for helpful friendly advice (020 7734 6198)
Starting 12th October, Wheeler Dealers is back for a new series on The Discovery Channel. Trident has worked and polished the audio from VO record through to mix and delivery. Now in its seventh series Wheeler Dealers is still at the top of Discovery's schedule and while Mike and Edd are still turning around great car restorations it looks set to continue.
In recent weeks Trident has been lending a hand to some upcoming directors from the Metfilm School at Ealing Studios. Trident got involved with 2 productions, 'Love Story' by Tricia Dipre and 'By The River's Edge' by Garry Simpson, and undertook all sound design including ADR, Foley, FX and final mix.
Trident would like to welcome Gemini's Lance England into the studio for his Chuggington project for Disney. Lance has been involved in recording the original Chuggington series since the start, and now he's off again with the Disney commisioned version for the States. Based in our Studio3 with Pro Tools, Lance will be re-recording all the cast throughout September and into October so choo-choo for him!
We're very proud of our rock 'n roll roots as a music studio; in the 60s & 70s recording the likes of The Beatles, Bowie and Queen. However sometimes the message that we are now purely an audio post facility gets lost, so that's why we've changed our web address to better reflect our business: tridentaudiopost.com.
Well not quite Boy George himself, but the actor playing him in the BBC's biopic Worried About The Boy; Douglas Booth. The show's ADR was recorded here at Trident across a week in early April and the show features lots of iconic characters who would have once crossed Trident's threshold as a music studio back in the 80's.
We see many types of bookings here at Trident; from 1hr sessions for recording single line scripts, to week long block bookings for film and TV ADR, but even we had to scratch our heads preparing for a recent job. Have a look at this photo of the session in action and see if you can guess what's going on (click on it for a larger version):
With Spring nearly upon us we bounce into series 7 of Wheeler Dealers for Discovery; another 10 x 1hr eps of narration and dubbing for us with Mike Brewer and Ed China getting their spanners out again, this time featuring a much anticipated Cosworth! With a few more TV series almost in the bag, we look forward to a productive time ahead. All your projects are important to us though no matter their size, so whether a VO for a 15 second promo or a 200 page e-learning script, we are always here ready to help you. If you think we can be of service on your current/upcoming project, then pleaseemail us with any questions you may have.
2010 started off with a bang for us with plenty of ADR; for TV, film and even computer games. For the new decade we've even changed our web/email address to make it more in keeping with our services -email@example.com. Don't forget though that whatever your needs in sound, the team here at Trident are best suited to help with a diverse experience in all things audio post - Voice Overs, ADR, mixing, sound design, sound processing...
Looking back on 2009, it's been a bumper Hollywood year for us here at Trident with highlights including: filming with Sir Paul McCartney, ISDN ADR links with Kate Hudson, voice-over recording with Kate Winslet, computer game narration with Tom Wilkinson, and all mixed around our other bookings of coporate/foreign language VO records and program mixes.
Here at Trident since 1993 our work in audio has been incredibly varied; good for us so we never get bored and always like a challenge, but even better for our clients as our experience in the field of audio is vast; from ADR to VO records (local, remote and self-produced), and from TV show dubs to multi-lingual flash presentations.
Welcome to our September newsletter! As one of the most established audio post studios in Soho, central London, we would like to keep you informed of what we do, what we've done, and hopefully be of help to you in an upcoming project.
