ADR of an 80's legend back at Trident

Saturday, May 15, 2010

Well not quite Boy George himself, but the actor playing him in the BBC's biopic Worried About The Boy; Douglas Booth. The show's ADR was recorded here at Trident across a week in early April and the show features lots of iconic characters who would have once crossed Trident's threshold as a music studio back in the 80's. It seems quite a lot of people saw the show when it aired a few weekends ago and even we couldn't pick out the ADR we'd recorded, so well done to the dubbing mixer (and us of course!).

DVD Commentaries

Cemetery Junction

Oooo, look who it is in Studio1, non other than perhaps the two most famous comic writers in the world today; Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant. Whilst in to record commentaries for their latest film, Cemetery Junction, the production company also managed to tie them down for a bit of Q&A filming as part of the disc's extras as well.

Jason & The Argonauts

Hailed by the likes of Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton and Tom Hanks as one of the greatest men to ever have worked in Hollywood, Ray Harryhausen was in Trident to record the commentary for his stop-motion work on Jason & The Argonauts. Made in '63, the film is soon to get its Blu-ray release and Ray's commentary explains just how much creativity went in to creating the visual FX back then.

Camping is hip again it seems and to trace the fall and rise of this great British holiday, Doubleband Films brought back Alison Steadman to record the commentary for their latest film.
